Save the date: Kyte presents Splunk workshop
Great security breaches come with not only great losses and penalties, but also ultimately lead to a decline in the firm’s reputation. To restrict this possibility, Kyte is implementing a practical workshop that aims to dissect concepts of Incident Response.
The workshops will be focused on using the power of Splunk as a log management tool and how to make the most of it’s features.
For those who are already familiar with Splunk, some of its more progressive features will be demonstrated, including one that can implement a Security Operation Center (SOC).
This event is suitable for the majority of IT professionals as well as developers from the cryptocurrency sector, banking industry, gaming, payment services, mobile, retail and e-commerce.
Kyte is a leading advocate for proper log management, not only because it is a necessity of virtually all information security standards, also because it is one of the most effective systems of uncovering and impeding suspicious activity instantly.
Splunk is one of the market leaders when it comes to security monitoring solutions providing real-time security monitoring, historical analysis and visualisation of massive data sets.
This workshop takes form of a classroom setting so that participants can get hands-on experience using the tools being discussed and have the ability to interact with the experts.
It will take place on October 30th and 31st at InterContinental Malta. Workshops last from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Places can be secured for €100.
Participants must bring the following with them: laptop with i5, 8/16Gb RAM, and 250 GB free space on SSD.
The workshop agenda is split into several sections. Firstly, the registration process occurs, then the presentation, followed by the practical, afterwards a hands-on workshop and then finally the networking event.
More specifically, the agenda will follow along these lines:
