AIBC Summit off to an electric start
Spring edition of the show is being held at the Hilton
The buzz is palpable here at the Malta A.I. and Blockchain Summit, and with the expo floor already filling up, things are off to a great start.
Following a series of well-received initiatives last year, all eyes are now on Malta as the Blockchain Island continues to capitalise on the opportunities to invigorate the economy and generate new business. The successful implementation and integration of innovative new technologies into everyday business life has been a key part of the regulatory framework introduced last year.
We’re excited to catch the panel on the proposed fourth bill at 10.30am this morning. The bill will revolve around giving DAO its own legal personality, introducing a crucial layer of protection for users. Look forward to great debate on this from the likes of Steve Tendon, Amandine Doat and Leonard Bonello.
Before that though, catch the governments’ take on things with a keynote from Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, at 10am, followed by the Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation.
We’re also taking a look at the implications of a regulatory sandbox environment within the block from a Commonwealth perspective, Lord Marland, Dr. Amanda Sharkey, Eric Van Der Klejj, and Minister Carmelo Abela get things rolling in this highly anticipated panel.
A number of panels towards the latter half of the morning will discuss regulation, with particular focus on A.I. and STOs.
Take in the A.I start-up pitch from 12.30 til 2pm before making your way to the second conference of the day, the World-Changing Applications of A.I & Blockchain. Don’t miss Bobby Lee and Roger Ver’s keynotes on the future of digital money, while Larry Sanger explores the intriguing paradigm that is Web 3.0 at 4.20pm. We’re also expected hot debate on panels featuring A.I. gurus David Hanson, Angelo Dalli, and Ben Goertzel.
