First Blockchain Tech meetup set for 11th September

Meetup will discuss Ethereum Blockchain, Crypto Trading and Maltese Blockchain regulation
The first edition of the Blockchain Tech Meetup will be held at 6pm on the 11th of September at the Hilton Hotel in St Julians.
On the agenda is Voting on Ethereum Blockchain, a lecture about the advantages and disadvantages of voting implementation on the Ethereum network. The talk will explore the feasibility of incorporating it and discuss a few different use cases. Various technical and non-technical aspects will be considered.
The presentation will be held by Jan Turk, an experienced blockchain developer and consultant on several Ethereum and Hyperledger projects, Cisco Academy Instructor, and lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (LTFE).
This will be followed by Insight Into the Crypto Trading Facility, which will look at the back-end of high-performance crypto-asset trading facility and the processes behind the curtain of order matching. Jerney Makovsek will compare trading behaviour on traditional and crypto exchanges and show some examples of market manipulation. Makovsek is a holistic software engineer and IT professional and has led development of several complex software systems, most recently Blocktrade AG, Bitstamp Ltd, and Reciprocity Inc.
The final presentation will feature Maltese Blockchain Regulatory Framework and the Role of Service Providers which will discuss the new Maltese regulatory framework withìh a focus on recent updates and requirements for both corporate service providers (VFA agents, custodians, auditors) and companies seeking licensing (exchanges, token issuers etc.). Presenting this is Antonio Giannino, group head of risk & compliance at Amagis Capital, and keynote speaker at several risk management and fintech conferences.
